LA’s Supperclub turns Artclub

Known for their fabulous dinner shows, the world renowned Supperclub is tacking art house onto its distinguished resume. An interactive art platform, Artclub is currently featuring the work of award winning motion picture director and photographer Lyndon Chubbuck—the first on their roster of six annual exhibitions.

With celebrity culture as his artistic fodder, Chubbuck’s photography lifts the veil on stars like Eva Mendes, Elisabeth Röhm, Hunter Tylo, Alison Eastwood, Donia Chiarizia and Ivana Milavich, photographing these recognizable names in intimate spaces. See (or purchase) his images and more before March 10.

Countdown to McQ

Thomas P. Campbell, Anna Wintour, Stella McCartney, Sarah Burton, and Andrew Bolton at the February 22 London press event for the upcoming exhibition “Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty”

This is it! The time has come to begin counting down to the much (much, MUCH) anticipated Alexander McQueen show at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. By my count, we are a mere 69 days away!

In this photo, we see some very important (and lucky) folks getting a glimpse of a few of the McQueen pieces that will be on display this summer.

I don’t know how I managed to miss this one, but Bodhi participated in New York Fashion Week, not in a runway show, but in the Accessories Exhibit. Founded in 2008, the brand creates artistic, unexpected and architectural handbags that march to the beat of a different drummer, opting color and creative expression, rather than seasonal trends. Moreover, it’s a practical luxury brand, creating handbags alongside Kindle, iPad and SLR camera cases.

Esquire Home @ Nat Sherman Launch | New York Fashion Week

Nat Sherman has a more refined take on the loathsome man cave:

Esquire magazine and Nat Sherman debuted the anticipated Esquire Home @ Nat Sherman showcase with an exclusive launch party at the Nat Sherman flagship store. The Esquire Home Collection brought together two some times very separate worlds, by fusing the needs of the modern man with the classic Americana aesthetic. During the event they also showcased the new furniture pieces of the Nat Sherman “Stars & Stripes Collection”, an ongoing collection that has included partnerships with other brands such as LINLEY.

“Over the years the nature of cigar smoking has changed, and become more of a lifestyle experience. After all, cigars are a social lubricant and in being so they engender a sense of camaraderie that should be enjoyed in the appropriate setting”, said Nat Sherman CEO Joel Sherman. “At one time a humidor was the only piece of furniture required for one to be considered a connoisseur, but today it encompasses the entire furniture collection. This is why we could not think of a better partner than Esquire and their home collection for this project.”

Together Bag by Thursday Friday

Following in the footsteps of designers like Mary Ping of Slow and Steady Wins the Race and her minimalist, canvas “designer” bags, Thursday Friday has created what is promising to be the new “it” bag. But more like a postmodern, satirical take on the “it” bag…in paint and canvas:

The Together bag’s surreal deisgn references luxury but is ultimately an anti-status status symbol.  The witty, functional tote is widely hailed as spring’s It Bag, and Thursday Friday – the hot label to watch.  The Together bag is a canvas tote perfect for gym clothes, workout accessories, and extras.  It’s fully lined, and the inner patch pocket keeps your keys and phone within reach.

And, um, not to get all Valley Girl, but, helloit’s only $35.
