We all dreamt of early 20th century Paris during the Moulin Rouge era. Now you can get a full color view of what it would have been like, sans Nicole Kidman. Discovered by the retro-image archive site, Retronaut, the series of images show the original Moulin Rouge and normal daily life in that time.

Video: The Cools + Bobbi Brown | Pretty Skateboarding
Pretty and Skateboard usually do not work in a sentence but The Cools and Bobbi Brown beg to differ. The brands collaborated on a 90 send docu-video featuring pro-skate, Eli Reed, with a quick lesson on skateboarding in NYC. The video also featured Victorias Secret model Jessica Hart, Leandra Medine (The Man Repeller), Natalie Joos, True Blood’s Anastasia Ganias, Hannah Bronfman, Annie Georgia Greenberg, Chrissy Rutherford, Logan Horne, and more.

Fabian Oefner | Dancing Colors
In an attempt to capture sound waves, photographer Fabian Oefner produced “Dancing Colors”; a photography series that was created by placing dyed salt on a thin sheet of plastic which, while attached to a speaker, “dancing” when a sound is made.
“I attached a microphone to the speaker, which is connected to the flash system. As soon as the speaker emits a sound, the microphone picks it up and sends a signal to the flashes to trigger them. I took the images in a completely darkened room, so I can just leave the shutter open for a few seconds, only the event illuminated by the triggered flash is captured.” – Fabian Oefner.
