Somewhere in the Midwest SkullCandy teamed with supermodels for their new promotion. Thats right, it’s not Bose, it’s not Sony who is getting all the ladies but the candy colored company with the skull logo. Who would’ve ever thought.
“We are very excited to reveal our full Supermodel lineup,” said Nate Morley, VP Marketing and Creative, Skullcandy. “We have collaborated with some of the world’s greatest athletes and artists, and today we’re happy to officially add Kate, Chrissy, Jessica and Chanel to our roster of ambassadors.-azionePR
NATIVE SHOES, VANCOUVER—-Take a ride in the city with New York based photographer Tim Barber, and take a peek into the creativity and inspiration he finds around him. Revelations can come from anywhere, but Tim finds it at what he calls the cross section of society. It’s the city’s bottleneck that creates the spontaneous environment that keeps Tim’s wheels rolling.
Today Native Shoes starts new youth for consciousness targeted market campaign. The message is strong, sweet and a little cliche.
The gist “Native Shoes announces the launch of The Natives, a series of lighthearted short films that capture the individual spirits of a cross-section of humans across the globe. Mirroring Native’s own principles, the brand has hand-selected each character for their uniqueness, creativity, innovation and light heartedness. Each film will portray a new individual in their native environment, highlighting how he or she stands out from the other seven billion people in the world.Native Shoes announces the launch of The Natives, a series of lighthearted short films that capture the individual spirits of a cross-section of humans across the globe. What do you think? Relevant, sweet, cliche, inspiring?
Artist doing their thing is always interesting so why not wait and see what they have in store for us. I doubt we will be offended.
Oh mamasita, girl, I remember the first time I saw you preform live opening for Lykke Li and saying out loud to my friend in the front row watching her teeny frame and unkempt hair wave around in the strobed berry colored lights:” It sounds so crazy like underwater alien music and some kind of baby catholic choir stuck in a drummachine. ” Then many eyes glaze over and starts to sway like a baby hippie & giant smiles on purple lips appear. We all did it.
Now officially ‘noticed’ by the ‘industry’ and still very ‘indie’ if my choice, force or de facto (who even knows what that means anymore). But I digress, check out this estrange video and enjoy the silly, yet fun obviously youthful and colorful rendition inspired by Hieronymus Bosch’s paintingThe Seven Deadly Sins and the Four Last Things as well as by fashion designer Jean Paul Gaultier and Jamie Hewlett’s Tank Girl creation. Very out there and very aware of that goal.
I do miss her lo-fi stuff too, it was-dare I say it-more relateable.
Anyway I disregard what Carles says and I do think that there is musical talent at least uniqueness in Grimes, and sure she’s electronic but there’s a level of complexity in her vocals that remains flippant, but in a good grimmey way.

This needed to get posted as soon as it came out. Out for only a few minutes but silencing us all for hours. A more comprehensive take can be done, but this needs to spread and watched because the message in this mini movie like music video is too poigant for description.
Look out for the shady man making money of the mind games perpetuated within the entertainment industry. Lupe brings the wakeup call. . -mvs
