ETRO SPRING 2012 AD CAMPAIGN
Glamorous yet tasteful nomads, with killer bone structure and piercing and almost icy stares beckon viewers into this strange print laden land of the etro spring ad campaign taken in Morocco.
Clean, airy, and ethereal it may not remind one of the bustling, busy and heart heavy Morocco we love. The background is like a Morocco meets some outer rim ice planet.
However many of the prints from the Etro campaign seem to draw upon some of the country’s asthetics, but itsn’t exlusive: from pokadots to paisely Etro Spring 2012 is a busy place.
But who says busy is bad? With heavy hitting models Carmen Kass, Ella Kandyba, Ophelie Rupp and male models Bruce Machado and Andres Risso and an even more seasoned photographer, Mario Testino. The ad campaign comes off like some of our favorite summer drinks: strong, mixed, and on ice.

Sperry Top-Sider: S/S 2012
The ever growing appeal of boat shoes has always been for more of an acquired taste. This time around, one can’t help but stop and stare at the way Sperry has been able to add modernity to such a classic style.

Artist Gabriel J. Shuldiner is trying his hand at jewelry design. His collection, Fleurs du Mal, brings a new meaning to the color BLACK.
My Fleurs du Mal collection draws direct inspiration from the beautifully dark, decadent, and erotic prose of one of my favorite poets, Charles Baudelaire. I reinterpreted the title he used for his own first volume of poetry, originally published in 1857, for my inaugural Fleurs du Mal collection. My collection has evolved into an ever expanding and ongoing series of work. I consider each one of a kind piece from my Fleurs du Mal collection a sort of poem of its own; one that tells its unique, mysterious, and romantic story from deep within the fragmented and fractured black.

DVF♥CURRENT/ELLIOTT Spring 2012 | Short Film by Gia Coppola
DVF, the pioneer of the empowering print, has done it again with the DVF♥CURRENT/ELLIOTT Spring 2012 collaboration. In conjunction with the launch, DVF has released a short film directed by Gia Coppola. Starring Tracy Antonopoulos and Aubrey Plaza, with a cameo by Ray Liotta, the shows a young screen-writer with a little bit of writers block.
